Pull up on the right

When doing a reverse on the right for two car lengths in a staright line I feel confident in my ability to:

  • .

Check whether it would be safe, legal and convenient to complete the manoeuvre before pulling up on the right.

  • .

Select reverse gear, prepare my car to move and take effective all round observations, including blind spots, before I start.

  • .

Position myself to take effective observations through the rear window while maintaining steering control.

  • .

Coordinate the foot controls in order to maintain a speed equivelant to a very slow crawling pace.

  • .

Make fine steering adjustments to keep a constant distance from the kerb throughout the manoeuvre.

  • .

Pause and take effective all round observations as the situation warrants to maintain safety.

  • .

Respond correctly to other road users and pedestrians.

  • .

Reverse back for the required distance to ensure I can safely move off from the right hand side of the road whilst remembering to re-fasten my seatbelt, if removed, before moving off.

More Challenging Circumstances

  • .

I feel confident in my ability to safely complete a reverse right under more testing circumstances ready for the test.
