Bay Parking

When doing a reverse into a parking bay with no other road users around, I feel confident in my ability to:

  • .

Move into a suitable starting position.

  • .

Select reverse gear and position myself to take effective observations through the rear window while maintaining steering control.

  • .

Coordinate the controls in order to maintain a speed equivelant to a very slow crawling pace.

  • .

Pause and take effective all round observations as the situation warrants to maintain safety and in particular before steering to move into the bay.

  • .

Reverse into the bay within the bay lines by adjusting my steering or repositioning my vehicle as necessary to achieve this outcome.

  • .

Respond correctly to other road users and pedestrians.

  • .

Fully enter the bay as if to park and then remember to refasten my seatbelt, if removed, before moving off.

Forward park into a bay and reverse out

  • .

I feel confident in my ability to safely pull forwards into a bay within the bay lines or adjust as necessary to achieve this outome and reverse left/right as appropriate ready to safely move off

More challenging circumstances

  • .

I feel confident in my ability to safely complete the bay park under more testing circumstances ready for the test.
